Helen and Martin had an effortlessly beautiful wedding, hosted at the wonderful boutique Didsbury House Hotel, in South Manchester, who ensured it all went off without a hitch. As they could hold the ceremony and reception here, it meant no darting around in cars and no big gaps in the day. Just one long wonderfully sunny October afternoon-into-evening surrounded by all their best buds, and some yummy food in the way of an afternoon tea.
Helen and Martin have three kids between them and so they were obviously also a big part of the day with Harry, Helen’s son, walking her down the aisle. They both gave a speech together (brides, take note! It doesn’t just have to be up to the men!) Being so close to fireworks day, they switched confetti for a sparkler exit. Towards the end of the meal their band, Mr Wilson’s 2nd Liners, started up their epic music (self-described as “New Orleans meets rave classics”). They are, hands down, the funnest band I’ve come across yet!
